I suppose there isn't much they can do for the 17 year old at this point but if the mum has other children I hope someone looks into this. She's grooming her child for sex work.

The girl is 17 until her birthday in February.
As I understand it, the law says it's illegal to take, make, share or possess "indecent images" of anyone under the age of 18 - meaning any photos of the child nude/ partially clothed and/or posing sexually. Any professional photographer/ studio she goes to with her £5k would doubtless know what the law is surrounding photos of this nature, and tell her to come back on the 18th birthday, and not a day before - why would they want to risk being charged/ convicted?
I don't understand why the "journalists" responsible for this story haven't included this obvious angle, and why the local police/ social services haven't done their jobs yet...

Unless the pictures are X rated then I suspect it isn't. I assume the mother will skirt very close to the edge of the law with this - not displaying breasts/vagina etc as to avoid it being seen as "porn" or "indecent". If she does go for explicit pictures she will have to prove that they were taken AFTER she turned 18, or legal proceedings may follow.

The daughter is not a "sket". She's been groomed by the mother for years. The mother has been selling stories like this to the press since she was 14.
