To think I’ve been spiked?

Was out with 2 friends last night. Only had 1 drink and never left my drink alone either. Felt really wobbly after and had a banging headache and couldn’t see properly it was like the room was spinning and fainted and still feel terrible this morning. 1 drink is not a lot for me and I definitely never left that drink alone so don’t know how I’ve been spiked

Your second sentence appears truncated so it’s not clear what point you’re making.

Drug screens are for standard drugs eg cannabis, coke, opiates, MDMA, amphetamines, ketamine, benzodiazepine etc but there many different drugs that could be used to spike someone, a lot of which are not standard. The guidance is test asap between 12-72 hours. Altho hair can be tested outside that time frame.

Either way - my point was that hospitals don’t generally screen for drink spiking. Most police forces have private contracts for forensic testing.

Is it still worth reporting it to the police now then?

Why are you so sure you were spiked rather than a 24 hour virus/dehydration/ reaction to bad alcohol? You said you didn’t see how anyone would have had chance to do it and no one was acting suspicious around you.

I suspect you will get the same reaction from the police as you did the hospital.

It could go either way tbh. I went to bed sober after a glass of very rich red with a meal, woke up confused as to why I had a "hangover" and quickly realised I had a lovely winter bug.

I've also been surprised at how "drunk" I felt off 2 single g&ts and a jaeger bomb which I drank maybe slightly faster than normal, but alongside water and food. I was absolutely out of it, incredibly ill and woke up to an amount of mess I've never made before on the occasional time I've been v drunk, an appalling hangover that I went to work on as I felt guilty, serious embarrassment and a stony, judgy (now ex) BF. He changed his tune later when every girl at our table that night reported weird after effects and someone did get checked out and had been spiked. We didn't leave anything unattended/had eyes on our table at all times. But it was a karaoke bar we went to regularly and loads of people stopped by our table- mates and strangers. Luckily we all left in at least pairs.

I would actually report the incident to Trading Standards at your local Council. It's possible, for example, the bar owner is substituting eg vodka for a cheaper illegally obtained substitute thus not paying the duty on purchase & making more profit. Quite possible these days, given a lot of vodka is from Russia and isn't being imported. Trading standards will visit the premises and test with a hydrometer for alcohol content. If suspicious of a product they may obtain formal samples and request a full laboratory sampling which would determine what's in it in more detail, and compare to what it's supposed to be, and if not as described a prosecution likely.
(used to work in the testing industry years ago, and substitute inferior product is not as uncommon as you might imagine)

No point testing you now, too long after the incident.
