I started with Nutella pancakes with berries and a coffee for breakfast. Ds had requested this for Xmas breakfast and it sounded good to me too!

Lunch was about 1:30. We had a started of creamy mushrooms on toasted sourdough. Then turkey and all the trimmings. I ate loads. Dessert an hour or so later was a chocolate pudding.

Had a big plate of cheese, crackers, grapes and nuts just now while watching Netflix and will finish the night off with a cup of tea and some fancy M&S chocolate biscuits.

Absolutely overdone it and I do plan to eat better in the new year but for today....fuck it! What have you had?

Brown Soda Bread and Blue Stilton, Port and Red Wine; similar to a PP I have an infected, wobbly tooth so food is a problem - until the 11th Jan when it's booked to come out.

I also live with DS who is spending his college hols living like a troglodyte and a super-fussy eater too. However, I'm just finishing cooking off a Roast Chicken with some roasties, mash (tooth-related), home made sage&onion stuffing and gravy. Will cook some frozen veg to go with it tomorrow.

Even if much isn't eaten tonight - I've food for days (including the soup and risotto).

And a couple of Pisco Sours tonight probably.

Justcashnosweets · 25/12/2022 21:13

Coffee.
2 breakfast rolls, one with bacon and potato scone, the other with sausage and egg.
A glass of Advocaat and lemonade.
A walnut whip.
Massive Christmas dinner with chicken, beef and all usual stuff.

A Baileys coffee.
I'm so stuffed, but I can't stop thinking about all the cheese in the fridge 🤣

TheHateIsNotGood · 25/12/2022 21:46

Appreciate the amazing gravy posts - amazing gravy makes the difference; I often roast a chicken with a view to the amazing gravy.

Which is lucky for me and my bad tooth - it's the main ingredient with my mash. Better be off back to the kitchen - the chicken is resting, whilst the pots are roasting and the sugar syrup (Pisco Sours) is cooling.

Gravy to be made.

maddiemookins16mum · 25/12/2022 21:48

Scrambled egg on toast at 9am ish
Mince pie at Church after the service
Fillet steak, potatoes, green beans for lunch at 3pm.
Christmas pudding and cream at 5pm ish for pudding.
A large handful of Celebrations
Cheese and crackers during Call the Midwife.
Several teas, two coffees and a can of Fanta orange.

I’m done.

It really was amazing gravy. He does it the Jamie Oliver way by roasting off the giblets and neck. I wish we could have it all year round!

Roominmyhouse · 25/12/2022 21:51

2 potato waffles with scrambled egg and bacon and 3 cups of tea.
Mini Camembert with some rocket and bread.
Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.
Big chunk of orange chocolate Yule log with extra thick salted caramel baileys cream.
About 2 bottles of Prosecco.

Felt full but not stuffed after dinner as we had big breaks between each course. Definitely won’t eat anything else today though!
