Messy house and guests

Does anyone else dislike it and feel embarrassed when guests come over unannounced and the house is messy?

I used to hate it, but have now stopped caring. People are coming to see me and not my house - the people who love me know I am not a tidy person and still want to hang out with me. Anyone who judges is a dick. I know for a fact I will not lie on my deathbed wishing my house had been tidy when so and so came round unannounced one day.

I like it when I go to a messy house because then it takes the pressure off me when they visit mine and it is also messy. I think others feel the same.

Makes you seem human in my opinion, you're not properly parenting if the house isn't a tip somewhere!
