Has anyone been?
is it *Very pricey, is it worth it?

It’s my dream to take Dd, 4, we live in a hot place so unlikely she’ll see snow for a long time.
Sat here thinking I’d just love to get away somewhere next year and escape all the *Stuff of Christmas.
But, is it a pipe dream?
If I save really hard each week/month, is it doable or are we talking thousands and thousands? 🤷🏻‍♀️

We went this year, at the end of last month.
It was absolutely magical! DC are 5 and 7 and seeing how mesmerised they were by the reindeer, huskies, snow, Santa, the elves - it made it all worth it.
Yes it was expensive. We booked through a local travel agent and everything was included - so flights, transfers, lovely hotel, all the excursions etc it came to about £6K. Alot more than we’d normally spend on a holiday but it was a once in a lifetime trip for us, and we wanted to do something special after two rubbish years of Covid. We also wanted to do it while the DC are young enough to still believe all the magic.

Our trip was 17 years ago so our price comparison wouldn't be worth much. But my tip is to look at skiing holidays in Levi without the skiing. Just booked the flights and accommodation then sourced the santa trips etc. in resort. We got a 7 night trip for about the same per person (maybe just a little more) as they were charging for the one day trip.

We went for 4 nights 6 years ago with our DCs who were 10, 8 & 6 at the time. We went with Canterbury Travel. I can't remember how much it cost but remember it was very expensive (more than an expensive 2 week summer holiday), but it was totally worth it. Completely a once in a lifetime trip that we all still talk about now and all agree was one of our best holidays ever.

If you can afford it Op, then I'd say do it as it really is magical.

Just been. Saved for 2 years to go. Absolutely magical for us. £2600 for 4 nights, included all trips. 2 people, me & DD6. I loved the trip and my 2 years looking forward to it.
