To.ask for help re Evri delivery

DS wanted a specific keyboard for his PC for Christmas. I ordered it from a company called Gamakay who are based in China. This was about 5 weeks ago. It's been trackable so I wasn't concerned until 2 weeks ago whilst out I had an email from Evri saying they'd missed me with a parcel. I had no idea it was being delivered by them on that day which is unusual as they always say first. Really annoying thing is both teen kids were in all day and just didn't hear the door. I've since contacted the company who send a standard reply stating be patient as there is delays due to black Friday sales. Evri have replied once saying similar. Noone is actually helping. Is there anything else I can do now? I think the it's either stuck in the drivers van, back at a depot or been disposed of. Since it's Christmas on Sunday it's not looking likely it'll be here. Help!

If its with evri there will be tracking info. And yes it may well now be back in their depot while they get on with first attempts for their backlog. I know they're having delays in some areas, though round us evri are running really smoothly. Are you absolutely sure its a legitimate evri email? I've suddenly been getting a lot of spam ones disguised tk look like they're from various couriers, including evri.

If its legit and you're getting no specific info from everyone, personally I'd ask the seller for a refund. And if they refuse I'd open a PayPal dispute case (assuming you paid via PayPal, which is always best with overseas companies)

As far as I'm aware it was a legit email yes. Gave driver name etc and it said the sender was CUB01 I think. According to Google that code means unknown from China? Which would make sense. I paid on the credit card so could potentially claim from that but would rather just get the item!

I think your advice has come a little late @Mummydaddyneedhelp
