Strep?

Does this look like strep tongue or normal? More pronounced in real life than on photo. Temperature 38.9 just given calpol. Can't tell if I'm being paranoid or not. Thanks in advance.

I had strep throat in my teens twice. Felt like razor blades. I can't tell by the pics you've posted. Can you see the tonsils? Usually quite red and swollen if I remember and raspy voice; slight fever. Antibiotics will be needed quickly and since it is highly contagious (HIGHLY) no drink sharing/utensils and keep toothbrushes separate.

Thanks for that tonsils are definitely red but no white spots on them. Had to bring him to the gp with me on Tuesday so wondering if it strep, he has picked it up there. Managed to get a better pic.

I really wouldn't delay a dx from gp and antibiotics.
