Was my friend being weird?

Last time my friend rang me.
She told me of for having had my house decorated and having a cleaner in once a week. We both have disabilities.
Then said don't you wish you could have gone to a Christmas lunch, she had been to one that day.
But the weirdest is when I was single 3 years ago I had one FWB. She asked if I still had all those men round, now I have a live in partner, when I said no, not now his living with me, she went at least someone's happy.
She used to ring me every single day, which was beginning to be a bit annoying anyway,
I don't like confrontation, especially so close to the big day, so I ignored her phone calls. Then she sent a text saying are you in hospital? So I said I was having a phone break and her answer was you could have told me instead of ignoring me.
Haven't spoke to her since BTW, Is it me or does anyone else find her comments strange.

Sounds like you don't like her very much. You're picking at little things she says and are pretty much ghosting her. I agree with her it would have been much kinder to have told her. Not sure how she "told you off" which could have been odd but not really a biggie either way. It seems your behaviour is rather odd and unkind.

Every part and person in the scenario is just plain odd

You don't like each other. You were previously company for each other when you were both single but now you don't want to bother with her and she resents you for it.

None of my other friends are like this. Why does she get to tell me what I can spend my money on.

She's probably annoyed you can afford things she can't

I've asked her out several times and she's always said no. So it's not that.

I agree that she sounds like a bit of a busybody, OP, who sounds jealous and judgemental of your choices all at the same time.

And it's rude to refer to your one FWB as 'all those men'!

You seem quite self absorbed, OP. Disliking confrontation isn't a good reason to ignore someone. You should have been direct and said you were busy earlier rather than having her worry you were in hospital.

Otherwise she sounds sad and resentful.

I don't think you should have ignored her but yes her comments are irritating. Maybe you're not super close because I'd jokingly pull my friend up on any silly comments made.

No idea why so many posters are calling you weird though. Think they woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning!
