Day 4 of flu and today feel I'm starting to turn a corner. Still feeling terrible but managed to have a shower! I've got 3 dc and still so much to do b4 xmas. I've taken paracetamol and ibprufen and currently sat downstairs contemplating dragging myself out to the local Aldi. Got little food in, in general.

Probably would regret it (takes 20 mins to get there). I'm off work sick as I can't work like this and also work with vulnerable people.
Aibu to go to the shop if I wear a face mask?

Are you on Facebook? On the Facebook group for my town there is a whole load of people who volunteer to shop for people who can't (and loads of other helpful stuff).
If you ask I am sure someone will help you out.

If you are feeling that ill you will not be fit to drive, can someone else shop for you ?

If you've only just managed to have a shower today, I think 20 minutes to the shops (each way) with DC in tow and then navigating a busy shop (they are all busy at the moment) is probably too much for you and you'll just make yourself worse.

I'm assuming none of the DC are old enough to send. Can you ask a friend/neighbour to pick up some bits?

I'm getting the mum guilt that everything isn't all set for xmas. Maybe worth mentioning I have terrible anxiety so feeling anxious about this list of things left to buy. We've not done any food shopping for xmas. Maybe worth reminding myself there's lots of people sick a few days before xmas so I won't be the only one feeling disorganised.

I can wait till I feel better rather than asking neighbours. I'm just rubbish at knowing I have so much to do and then not doing it. Iykwim

You probably could go but you will be exhausted for the rest of the day.

Could you have a nap now and then go later this afternoon?

If it's causing you anxiety not going then it might be better to go so that it's one less thing to worry about. Or could you delay it until tomorrow?

I am feeling pre cold like symptoms. I went to the big hypermarket with a mask on this am. I was 100% alone wearing a mask.
I wonder why I bothered trying to protect all the others pre Xmas, obviously no-one else gives a toss
