We have been married for 5 years, both mid-30's. We've been TTC for the past 18 months. Over the past 3 years my DH has ballooned in weight, at least 6 stone. He was always quite a big guy, but his over-eating has spiralled out of control. I feel so awful saying this, but I just dont find him attractive any more; obviously an issue when we are TTC, DTD is just so horribly uncomfortable for me. AIBU?

6 stone is 3yrs is scary, is there anything driving his eating habits? Stress etc

The logistics of trying to do thevact will.be difficult. I'm a chunky bird, but one of my ex partners was massively overweight and it really impacted on our sex life. He was the same weight when we met, but the difficulties re logistics soon reared their head. Coukd you both try and ho on a health kick,or adopt some healthier habits? Even.if you don't need to lose weight u can still benefit. It could be in preparation for when you become parents

@BCBird The awful thing is, almost all the over-eating goes on in secret at night. I often wake up to numerous chocolate wrappers stuffed in the bin. He just wont talk about it.

Before you continue trying to get pregnant with him - do you see a future ?!?

bazthecat123 · 20/12/2022 23:10

@arethereanyleftatall I know I'll get flamed for this, but I just don't know anymore.

A child is big commitment together op. Think very carefully.

An obese father, who sounds as if he might be depressed, will have no energy or inclination to be an active physically involved parent.
Don't go there OP.
