AIBU to genuinely not understand why some people post photos to social media (like Facebook) with various hashtags under?

Is this a way of linking for other people to find their pics?

Or is it a weird way of just making pointed statements to friends?

And I suspect a hope someone will look under certain hash tags and somehow catapult their life into that of a show-mummy influencer

A lot of them are copied over from Instagram (it will show if it's a post shared from their insta, some have it set to share to both socials at once) where hashtags kinda have to be used to be seen
