My DD is desperate to have this and arguing it is safer than tiktok/snap chat. Do people agree - would you let your DD have this at 11 and is it safer?

@Givemyheadpiece can you recommend any other good (safer) apps. I might try this approach first. I think this is genuinely what she wants to mainly do. But do agree re being sucked into the insta fake reality. She could be very easily drawn into this.

Just a little cautionary tale of a friends daughter who was given free rein with SM from an early age. Ended up taking a lot of selfies, editing and posting and then later down the line, obsessing about how she looks and comparing to others constantly.Fast forward 3 years later…She is now suffering from anorexia and in and out of hospital. Not saying this will happen to every child obviously and maybe a rare case but a dangerous age to be allowed access to something so fake and dependent on superficial looks.

Good god no.
