to ask how to contact a poster?

I've just read a post that I really relate to and am wondering if it is possible to message a poster privately to chat if they so wish? Does anyone know how I can do this ?

hmmm, I don't see any three dots. The poster has a thread up and her op is just what she has written and then nothing at the bottom. It just shows the next posters response below

I'm on my phone and my screen looks nothing like you show above. Would it make a difference that I am using a phone

I've tried to take a photo to show you but when I click on attachment icon, it says I have no photos to add 🤔🤔

sometimes things get lost at the edges, i find i can recover them by making the zoom size smaller or larger.
but i am using a chromebook.
don't know what happens on phones, sorry.
someone will know.

I have tried on random posters to see if it would show different options but it doesn't..do I have to subscribe to mumsnet premium maybe??

You can't do it from the app, you need to open it in a browser on your phone

Might be the problem. I hear the app can be a bit non functional.

As @MistyGreenAndBlue says my display also looks nothing like yours .

I am on my phone and use Google chrome ( not MN app) aa well as not seeing the three dots circled on mine in blue , you also don't have save , share , report and book mark circled in red .

Oh and you definitely don't need premium 🙂

Ahhh thank you all so much, you were right, it can't be done on the app. I am logged in on the app. I had to open it on browser through google but then I couldn't log in, it would only allow me to register so I had to register under a new name as my own one was obviously taken by me😂🙈

As pp said go carful what you reveal, unfortunately there are a lot of people on here who let's say are economic with the truth downright liers .
