Hi all
I work in an office and I've got covid, my boss thinks now it's not illegal I should have gone in

I do feel very unwell.

AIBU for not working, or do we all ignore it now

Go in. We all do that with coughs & colds (except hospital & care staff) and Covid is no different. I would be embarrassed to self-certify sick leave or a cold or similar.

Did you read the bit where op said they felt really ill?

I wish the goverment would update the advice
Either we need to stay home or not , its so wishy washy ,if you don't test just stay home if unwell , until better
If you do test then stay home for x days wtc , even if your not ill , but not legally required etc
Heard of lots of work places saying if positive but well to go in
Its a mess and everyone is doing different things
