To warn her to be on her best behaviour

Have nc because if someone read this plus other posts might be outing.

Anyway. I was sat stressing and realised if ever there was a time to post this is it.

Going over to new friends as part of Xmas day celebrations. DM is coming to us.

DM & a I are both hyperactive at times and can be uncontrollably talkative etc. But DM thrives on being outrageous- and gets a kick out of chatting my business/embarrassing me etc.

Drinks will be served and DM loves a drink and gets more outrageous when she’s had one.

How do I tell her to reign it the fuck in?

Please no comments about why I’ve allowed this to happen. 🤣I’m an idiot, will try to avoid booking things at the same time but it’s bound to happen over the years!

Do you have to take your mum? Could you sort timings out so you don’t have to? Is new friend ok with you bringing someone else?

It's already been agreed as they saw each other at an event (this will happen again) they new DM was coming to ours and wanted her to join. One of their DM's will be there too. And I've met her DF already. It's a natural progression of our relationship... it'd look weird if we didn't allow it. Plus DM is alone and will be sad.

"Mother, if you get inappropriate and over share MY personal business, you can consider this your last invite to ANYTHING. Take this as your first and final warning!"

yesthisprobablyisaboutyou · 18/12/2022 21:15

@ClaryFairchild I think I might say that yeah. Thing is, I'll have to to warn her she isn't allowed to mention that either. She'll pick holes and find a way through.

Like a super injunction is the only way I can see to get her to behave and stay behaving in future!!
