Brushing sound spine tingle

Watching tv and just watched someone brush their teeth. The sound gives me the worst spine tingles ever. It’s very uncomfortable. I usually need to block my ears or leave the room.

just thinking about the sound sets me on edge.

I just asked my husband if he gets that too and he thinks I’m a weirdo!

I know some get pleasurable tingles from certain sounds like whispering etc. but this is so tingly it’s horrible and actually Unbearable.

does anyone else have this? Or is it just me?!

This is 100% me! It doesnt even matter if the sound is off, it still makes me cringe. And it's a million times worse if its more squeeky, like not enough toothpaste 😬😬

It's the only sound that bothers me, I'm fine with scraping chairs, nails on a chalkboard, all that stuff.

Not toothbrushing, but omg whispering! Cannot bear those ASMR ones on TicToc

Yes with toothbrushing. Even thought of it now makes me feel queasy and Ibe gone all cold feeling

As a result my teeth are crap, and I'm not supervising my kids tooth brushing as well as I should.

Not toothbrushing, but the sound of terracotta/rough pottery. I can't touch the rough side of terracotta, if they scrape against each other it makes me feel sick. My parents have terracotta tapas dishes where the whole underside is rough and I can't go near them. I can't stand plant pots. And I also bought a brilliant mug for myself online, can't even use it as it's rough on the outside not smooth. The idea of putting my lips against it is horrible.
