Dark circles under eyes- how to get rid

See attached pic
I'm only 31, they seem to have appeared in the last fortnight.
I've had enough sleep, I take vitamins, and I use retinol, tretonin and azaleic acid around the eye area.
Is this just ageing? I didn't expect it at only 31. Is there anything that can realistically get rid of them other than fillers? It's all I can see when I look in the mirror.

Maybe pop a post in style and beauty forum?

For what it’s worth, you have lovely eyes and I don’t see bad circles 🙂

ILoveeCakes · 17/12/2022 20:39

Do you drink?

Haribosweets · 17/12/2022 20:40

I have really dark eyes - I hate them! Ive tried everything but nothing works. I'm 43 and have got progressively worse over the past 10 - 15 years. Sorry I can't help but feel for you. If its any consolation mine are soo much darker.

I found the origin brightening eye cream to work miracles!

Easing/giving up dairy is supposed to help. Think I read that somewhere!

Dakotablue · 17/12/2022 20:47

Thank you for the advice! No, I'm teetotal. I just wondered why they've suddenly become worse the last fortnight.

Skin becomes thinner as you age and fat is lost from eye area.
Filler can migrate and cause a sausage so has to be dissolved.
Maybe invest in a good concealer and look at some you tube videos for advice.

Dehydration causes dark circles. It's probably because you have the heating on with the cold weather. The liver needs water to flush toxins out that's why a hangover also causes them and lack of sleep means the liver doesn't have enough down time to do it's job.

Consider having tear trough fillers. They're amazing x

Don't go cutting out food groups unless it's on medical advice, cutting out dairy isn't going to improve your undereye area.

Are you getting enough sleep? Sleep and plenty of water will help.

Justjoinedforthis · 18/12/2022 00:26

I can’t see any circles under your eyes at all! You have lovely eyes, please don’t stress.

CherryPieface · 18/12/2022 00:40

Most dark circles cant be fixed unfortunately, but they can be covered! Beauty Pie corrector is great, then cover with a good concealer. I like the Glossier Stretch one.
