If a friend asked you to meet somewhere (to help her with something) and you arranged to meet at 2pm. It takes you an hour to get there. Then at 1:40pm she tells you she'll be there at about 5pm now as she's ended up meeting a friend.
Surely this is incredibly rude? So I've got there 3 hours early for nothing? If she had an emergency or traffic etc. It's different

Personally, I'd go home and leave her to it. Downright ignorant.

Milesty1 · 14/12/2022 20:45

Taking the absolute piss. Talking of piss, mine would be boiling… As you say, it would only be understandable if an emergency had happened.

Scoobydoobydoobydoo0987 · 14/12/2022 20:45

It's selfish and thoughtless and she'd be getting no help from me!

Notimeforaname · 14/12/2022 20:46

Yeah I hope you didn't wait around for the 3 hours! Did you tell her how this wasn't acceptable or did you go along with it ?

StormInaDcup99 · 14/12/2022 20:47

Extremely rude, selfish and entitled

SnarkyBag · 14/12/2022 20:47

Very rude but you’d be a mug to hang around for 3 hours

Baobuns · 14/12/2022 20:47

I told her it was unacceptable and she didn't really seem to understand why and said that I needed to chill out a bit? I am distancing myself now anyway

Yes very very rude and not even a good excuse. She sounds selfish

Whatifthegrassisblue · 14/12/2022 20:47

Turn around and go back home. Rude!

onepieceoflollipop · 14/12/2022 20:49

Would she have ‘chilled’ if it had been the other way round?
thoughtless and careless she thinks her time is much more important than yours.

SerenaTee · 14/12/2022 20:49

I hope you didn’t wait around. Very rude of your friend.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 14/12/2022 20:49

Yep rude bitch. She’s basically saying your time is worth nothing to her.

I had this with an ex friend a few years back. I trekked to the other side of London and she was almost always late, by hours sometimes and once didn’t turn up at all. She did have a weed (hash) addiction so whether she was too stoned I’ve got no idea. Her excuses were very weak and flimsy too.

gamerchick · 14/12/2022 20:52

You didn't wait for her did you?

Baobuns · 14/12/2022 20:53

Glad to hear I wasn't being too sensitive

Bad manners is walking through the door in front of someone else.

What she did was not the act of friend or anyone with consideration for other people.

Georgeskitchen · 14/12/2022 20:56

I would be absolutely furious and would go straight home and block the CF

MichelleScarn · 14/12/2022 20:57

Please say you didn't wait about!!

Wishimaywishimight · 14/12/2022 21:00

How could you possibly think you were being "too sensitive"?

If you waited around for 3 hours you would be a complete mug.

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 14/12/2022 21:02

She a cheeky cow. Outrageous behaviour.

FTY765 · 14/12/2022 21:10

I hope you didn't wait till 5!
Very rude. It would probably be the last time I would go out of my way to help her.

DucklingDaisy · 14/12/2022 21:10

Beyond rude, making it clear she thinks you and your time are worthless. Totally outrageous behaviour

LimeTwists · 14/12/2022 21:16

I quite honestly would turn round and go home. I’m not even kidding. Absolutely selfish.

zurala · 14/12/2022 21:17

I hope that you said you'd meet her at 5 and then went home and left her to it.

00100001 · 14/12/2022 21:18

Oh wow, that's fucking shit.

And 100% YANBU!

BCBird · 14/12/2022 21:22

I would not have waited. Not like she was delayed due to an emergency. Leave her to sort her stuff by herself.
