Doorbell for kids room?

I'm sure I wanted one when I was a child

Buying it for a friends daughter (I hope!)

What do I search for?

Aibu they were definitely a thing when I was growing up

Any wireless doorbell would do the job.

Is that for people to summon the child from downstairs, by ringing their bell? Or to ring to ask for entry to the room?

Either way, just any normal doorbell? Or, we use an Alexa (echo dot) to summon the kids downstairs - they have them in their rooms.

Ahh I don't have eBay!

I'll ask my husband. He will probably say no to more plastic shit (even though it's for a friend)

The button downstairs and the sound upstairs to call them would be a great idea. If I was at the door I'd just knock!

That’s probably what we use ours for most. When they aren’t forthcoming I blast the Mission Impossible or Countdown themes which normally leads to child stampede down the stairs.
