Lapland or not??

I can’t decide what to do. We’re supposed to be going to Lapland in 48 hours and have been looking forward to it for ages. My daughter has been really unwell for the last 2 weeks with a chest infection which she has literally just got over. Now my husband, son and myself have temperatures and terrible coughs. Shall we forget the whole thing? I don’t want to risk us going there and one of us feeling more unwell. Can’t believe the timing of this. I very rarely plan anything in advance and then when I do…..😥

Do you have insurance you could use to cancel?

It's 48 hours away. Take medicine and rest and you'll probably be ok by then.

Yes, we do have insurance which should pay out. If we cancel, we’d have to reschedule in another year. My son would be 10 and my daughter 8. Less magical, as I doubt they would still ‘believe’ then. We also wouldn’t be refunded on all the clothes and extra bits I have bought.

With two days to go I’d say dose up, rest up and plan to go.

Honestly- at 10 and 8 will still be magical. It is a magical place and actually can really overwhelm much younger children, who get tired and grumpy quickly. It is a wonderful place to visit but also can be hard work due to the blue light, dry atmosphere and having to get lots of layers on/off. I think would not be very enjoyable if you are unwell. I would reschedule to make the most of it.
