I don’t think stripping dukedoms is the way to go. The Duke and Duchess of Windsor weren’t stripped of theirs and he abdicated his duty. It looks ridiculous living in California, calling yourself by a British title, using a coronet on your stationery and going on faux royal engagements whilst simultaneously criticising and taking the piss out of the institution, but let them at it. I just wish the press would ignore them because I know far more about them than I need or want to.

She is The Princess of Wales, or would be The Princess William. If they divorced she would become Catherine, Princess of Wales. She isn’t Princess Catherine, just as Diana was never Princess Diana. The press make it up though, so Diana went from Lady Di to Princess Di.

Harry and Meghan want them taken away so they can be Prince and Princess, so I expect keeping them (sorry people of Sussex) has up to this point anyway been very purposeful. Andrew will always be a Prince, to remove his title as Duke of York it would have to go through parliament, I suspect the answer is no one can really be bothered. He lost freedom of the city of York though which speaks volumes- good for them.

I didn't say it wouldn't, did I? Theres been no push to remove Harrys yet though whereas due to the fact andrew has had everythong else stripped its probanly a logistical reason. There is a bill going through parliament which would give more power to the monarch and MPs to remove titles but not sure what's going on with it.

I just don't understand the reasoning. You initially said that Andrew had nothing more to be stripped, but that isn't the case, correct?

You also said that the Sussex titles could be stripped, but now seem to be conceding this would take the act of parliament. It isn't a different situation for them.

If the Sussex titles are stripped, it would be hard to justify not doing the same for Andrew. That's the bottom line.

There's nothing more the royals alone can take from him. It is true harry can be stripped of his title, just like Andrew could be if it goes through parliament- i haven't said that's not the case. I've also not suggested otherwise, he should also be stripped of his titles. I also believe though what about Andrew though isn't really a gotcha for people who dislike harry as some people claim it is. Both can be repugnant.

I think Meghan was after valuable marketable content from day 1 with all the selfies and the proposal recording. I find it quite believable that she took some shots of William s home and family. And then wondered why they were cool towards her.
