Hmmmm - what could he gave done that needed lies told to us ?

Not many of us can say we're living the lives we wanted as tweens. She is. William could get a face tattoo saying "Leave me alone Kate" and she'd still turn up to open town halls dressed to the nines waving every perfectly manicured finger.

It was the "Meghan made Kate cry" version of events that was released in the press first. Meaning Kate and William's side deliberately made up a lie about Meghan to leak to the press.

But as someone else said, it is believed Kate did cry. They probably did have an argument.

The issue wasn’t what happened, it’s the fact that the press repeated the ‘official’ version of events over and over and over again for literally years to push the ‘saintly Kate, sinner Meghan’ narrative and KP did nothing to stop them.

The Royal system has always been ‘never explain, never complain’. Catherine was almost certainly just following protocol that private events are not discussed in public. There will be times when she has had untruths said about her and keeps quiet. M and H obviously didn’t like this system but not fair to blame it on Catherine. It’s speculation too that the Palace purposely leaked the story.

On a separate issue issue Meghan has form for lying. She said that she had nothing to do with the Finding Freedom book but then emails were found that she had written a biography outline for the authors to be given to them by a third party. She had to admit to the appeal court she had forgotten about writing it!

As someone else wrote above, Harry and William seemed close at one time and he described Catherine as like a sister he never had. Even if Harry found it difficult playing second fiddle as the second son in the Royal family - and it’s not an easy role - I can’t believe the closeness he seemed to have with W and C was all fake at the time. The sad thing about this all is the rupturing of a once close relationship of two brothers.

I don’t know whether this is true (speculation is all we have with this whole thing) but a ‘source’ said that after William and Catherine married, had children and became naturally more separated, Harry started to worry about his role in the royal family. His last two girlfriends reportedly ended the relationship as they were not keen on taking on a role as a member of the royal family and he feared becoming middle aged and less relevant. No longer one of two popular young brothers in the limelight. Could see this could be possible, but who knows.

What motivates some people to post such revolting made up shite. Get out of the sewer that is Twitter and do yourself a favour.

Maybe she did maybe she just cried and meghan was there and people made assumptions either way kate will never be allowed to put out her true version of events we are stuck with hyperbole and meghans version

In regard to ‘never explain….’, KP felt able to ‘explain’ on the record that Kate didn’t have hair extensions, the photograph showed a childhood scar. I think they also went on record that Kate didn’t use Botox. Apparently they can explain when it’s to disprove untrue stories about the wife of the heir.

I'm not saying William hasn't had affairs (no idea, don't care) but I think some of the more lurid allegations (Rose, pegs etc) were fabricated by Giles Coren, who happily admitted he had made them up for a laugh...

I can quite believe that two women - a bride-to-be and a recently post-partum mother - had a tiff about wedding stuff and both ended up in tears of frustration / exhaustion / whatever. Stuff happens.

That’s a bit different to starting an argument with someone who says no, it happened the other way. It’s not about an incident between two people connected to the family that would show one in a bad light.

If it's 'tightgate' MM is a hypocrite. K was postpartum and emotional. MM was quick to say that she should have been treated carefully as a new mum in the SA interview, when Archie was older than Louis was at the time of the wedding. Part of me hopes it is that, because if it is it will show the Susexes for what they are, petty, spiteful hypocrites.

KP only responded to a salon advertisement which used her picture, it wasn’t a case of denying a press report about her using Botox of which there are many.

Meghan story starts with admitting Kate was ‘upset’. (She of course doesn’t say why/what about).

She says ‘Kate was upset about… something’.

So she starts halfway through the story, I bet if you heard Kate tell it, that ‘something’ would have been something Meghan has said or done.

As someone else said, at the point you need to shit or get off the pot.

I doubt they will clarify what it’s about. They seem to like dropping vague accusations that cause more trouble for more members of the family with the wild speculation about what and who it’s about. It also makes you wonder about how true the accusations are if they can’t be more specific.

Yeah I think that's probably true. Much as I'd enjoy full airing of dirty laundry, I think Harry likely understands that it would work both ways if he tried it.

I've never heard the hair extensions thing but KP went on record about the Botox because an aesthetics clinic was using photos of Catherine to advertise Botox, they were strongly implying in their advert that she was a client at their clinic and that they had some kind of Royal Warrant or Royal commercial approval.

IIRC the aesthetics clinic was fined by the advertising standards authority for doing this.

Kate would consider it inappropriate and too trivial to share with the public. Meghan not. It shows how different they are and how Meghan was not interested in any guidance from people who knew what they were talking about which would have been so great if she had managed to succeed as well (but she didn't).

I can't say it here as it will get banned but some months back there was rumours of the affair with him and Kates friend plus some alleged unusual sexual fetish. It got removed off UK twitter very quickly and was not reported in UK press but all this stuff is widely available in press abroad.

Normally I would be curious, but despite Harry’s best efforts to get us speculating, I’m not. It’s clear that William and Kate do their best to uphold the traditions and values of the royal family, and as far as I’m concerned they’re doing a good job. And while I don’t doubt that Harry and Meghan have been given a hard time, they haven’t always made the best decisions or been entirely truthful themselves.

I don't think it is any of that stuff. Harry and Meghan have far racier pasts as individuals which was also online before it was scrubbed off just after the engagement. Mind you, if Harry goes on and on about girls tights then that is not a good look either.

She does have hair extensions, though (I know the hairdresser who does them) – so they’re also willing to lie about stories to do with the wife of the heir.

William is really not attractive. if he wasn't a prince then I would say he started the rumours himself. I know a few guys who look like that - professional, wealthy, really nice and they can't even find girlfriends. He is lucky to be the heir for that reason.
