Hmmmm - what could he gave done that needed lies told to us ?

I just find that woman ridiculous. She is very beautiful and her appearance has got her everywhere. Just stop whinging. My children are mixed-race Indian / European. One of them is very fair with green eyes and, like MM, you would never know she was mixed-race. For her to go and stand among a community of women in India who live in poverty and announce, "I am one of you..." would be extremely disingenuous. Yet this is what MM did in the township in South Africa. What a joke she is. How can she possibly be so deluded as to think she has experienced racism like the average black woman. She has no clue. If Charles lives as long as his dad it'll be over 25. Wills and Kate will be getting into pensioner territory by then. I wonder if there'll be the same calls for them to step down in favour of the younger generation? If the institution lasts that long of course.

If this is true though, how do those lies affect Harry?? And surely how does Harry talking about that to Netflix and the world affect Kate, George, Louis and Charlotte?

I don’t think Harry is saying the lies he says have been told about William do affect him?

He seems to be raising them in the context of ‘they’ (whoever ‘they’ are) will lie to protect William but not tell the truth when that would help Harry (or possibly Meghan).

I assume the various ambiguities in the trailer are to get people to watch.

The rumour is that the press got too close to revealing the affair(s), and in return William via Jason Knauf started to sell out Meghan to throw the press a different bone. It's true that the stories were initially positive and then almost overnight became negative, but then again that is the nature of media, right?

Harry taking it out in the open (if it is that) affects William's family because it shows that their wholesome-family image is fake and William is bad as Charles/repeating the pattern of cheating on the married-in wife.

If it turns out to be tightsgate, then the idea would be that the media tried to create a saintly image for Kate and made Megahn look bad, in order to prop up William and make him look as though he's got the "good" wife.

There is nothing whatsoever disgusting about being gay.

Another vote for affair(s), he's the heir to the throne so has to be protected, they say. It's his genetic legacy from a cheating father. I have never understood how they fawned over the woman who broke their mother's heart and marriage.

Not sure Charles made the requisite effort. They met at Cambridge, like William and Kate, so could have stayed together. She didn’t have a title and he was pushed around. This was 10 before Diana was found for him.

Obviously W&K met at St Andrews. The point was they met at university. So quite young.

If it’s true KP was cheerfully allowing the press to print anything they liked about Meghan with assurances she wouldn’t complain or sue even when the lines were blatantly crossed (see printing her letter to her father), maybe he blames William for not stopping it happening?

I think Harry and William have had a very toxic, one sided relationship for a very long time with it being made clear to both of them from a young age that William was the one who mattered and Harry was just there to back him up. I don’t think any brotherly relationship would do well in those circumstances.

It only worked when Harry and William both agreed with that point of view. With Harry deciding he didn’t want to be an attachment to his brother for the rest of his life (reasonably), but William seeing this decision as a betrayal, their relationship was only going to go downhill.

Jason Knauf agreeing to give evidence against Meghan in her legal case was unprecedented as far as I can tell. I can’t imagine he would have done so without at least tacit permission from William.

I feel sorry for both of them (and Kate and Meghan). I know they have massive privilege but they also have a horrendous level of press intrusion in their lives.

Basically, I think both William and Harry feel betrayed by their brother and I’m fairly sure that both would only agree to reconcile with an abject apology from the other. Since neither think they’ve done anything wrong, I can’t see that happening. It’s sad and an indictment of the Royal system.
