How much do you spend for three days

Food over Christmas?
Live abroad and will be just Dh, myself and small Dd.
I’m putting back £100 for Christmas Eve meals at home, Christmas Day and bits for Boxing Day.
Very tight this year, is this doable at all? How much do you spend? It sounds like it should be for just three days, but never works out like that!

About the same as a weekly shop

We have spent £250 that’s for 6 adults and 1 child from 23-26th so I’d say £100 is easy enough.

@Athenen0ctua Which is how much, more or less?

I spend about 30 more for christmad week
...so 100 instead of 70 ( there's 2 off us plus DS 3 days a week and the dog)

@kitcat15 I feel like it comes up to more with all the added bits etc 😬

But it doesn't have to 🤔

Family of five adults here, I’d probably say what we normally spend (which is a lot ) plus £150 and one meal out.
If you work out what you would normally dined on three days food plus add the £100 I’m sure it will be plenty.

£50, but there are only two of us. I thought the weekly shop would be an easier comparison.

MooseAndSquirrelLoveFlannel · 12/12/2022 19:47

Usually about £50 but between price increases and the fact there will be three times as many people in my house to feed than usual I'm budgeting closer to £250.
