I have a few hours before I need to collect DC, done my house work and kicked back on the sofa with a blanket. Mumsnetting/relaxing and half-watching Food Network in the background.
Annoyingly it's sponsored by Iceland and in every ad break there's bloody Noddy Holder shrieking 'its CHRISTMAAA-' then interrupted with various 'not without the blah..'. it's ruining my relaxation time!
Petty annoyances anyone?

Ugh sounds annoying! My contribution to the petty annoyances forum is … the light coating of ice on the pavement that seems to have come up overnight, out of nowhere, where I live. I cba to pick my way around the ice to get to the shops. Ugh winter.

My sole and favourite order from McDonalds is a chicken legend. DD is breastfed and CMPA so I haven't been able to have one in months because they contain dairy - and I've been waiting for the sweet release of weaning so I can have one. Then, fucking McDonalds remove it from their fucking menu and scrap the only thing I ever order entirely!!! Bastards. Every time I see the fucking Keith Lemon advert for it, I hate Keith Lemon even more. An irrational part of me feels like me stopping buying them is what made them cut them from the menu because the demand dropped hahaa. It's not funny. I'm not ok. Thank you for this opportunity to rant because I've been silently seething for months.

@racing what a bummer! Does it look likely they’ll put them back on the menu at some point? Reminds me of when Leon got rid of their (amazing) chicken nuggets - thankfully they’re now reinstated, but the wait for them to come back was painful.

Wounder re McDonalds. Never been.a fan. My rant is why can't Royal Mail redeliver when I ask and why do they think it ok to try the next day? Why ask if you can't fulfill your obligations? I'm not moaning about them striking. Rant over

I just don't know :( It's the latest in a long line of this happening to me. Wagamama binning their Surendra's curry is a sore spot. GBK fucked off their sombrero burger. It's not fair!!

@ABigSalad123 the ice/frost thing has made me feel ancient, worrying about walking on the pavement. I've changed from "wow that would be embarrassing" to "oh god I'd actually really hurt myself"
Gutted for you @racingcar, was going to suggest googling how to recreate it at home but it doesn't feel in the spirit of the thread. That's just shit.
@BCBird daren't get stayed on a deliveries rant- you have my sympathy, I'm sure it's immense pressure/stress at this time of year but indeed, why ask if they're just going to do it their way anyway!

Thank you. I have successfully re-made the wagamama surendra's curry and the GBK sombrero burger but, in truth, if I'm eating a McDonalds then I just don't want to be cooking.

What gets me with Royal Mail is when they leave a "you were out" card, and don't tell you what they've done with the parcel! Is it at the depot, with a neighbour, or hidden somewhere in the garden?

I wouldn't mind, but there's an assortment of boxes on the other side; they only have to tick the right one.
