Christmas Fomo

Our family has been sick on and off since October, it was a little Christmas meet up with Dds friends and their mums today and we had to miss it. We’ve hardly done anything Christmassy yet and I’m just feeling really sad that we’ve missed this, especially for Dd (she didn’t know it was happening) everyone will be driving back to families next weekend so we can’t do another one.
Please remind me that it’s not that important 🤷🏻‍♀️Just feeling bit upset we’ve missed it, does it matter?

Totally normal to be upset about missing out, especially for DDs sake.

But there will be more Christmas get togethers in years to come, try not to worry about it Xmas Smile

We missed the whole of Christmas period last year because we had Covid (harder because symptom free!). At the time it was awful- We missed family, kids were old enough to know they were missing fun stuff with friends. We couldn’t even leave the house. This evening we were talking about last Christmas and all 3 had forgotten that we were in isolation last year. Just remembered fun stuff like baking, watching movies, playing laser tag in the garden in the dark, making Christmas crafts, playing board games. Honestly- she won’t even remember. It’s hard but you can make you’re own fun!
