I have terrible health anxiety 😥

Normally it’s over myself but it’s currently over my daughter.

I’ll start by saying she has ALWAYS suffered with her tonsils. She’s currently on waiting list for tonsillectomy.

but this winter she’s had none stop back to back Illnesses & fevers, colds, coughs, tonsillitis, ear infection she even started to throw up one day and now back onto cough and cold with fever. She complains about nausea a lot but doesn’t vomit. She won’t eat properly either. In between all these she seems her normal energetic self.

in my head she’s got lymphoma, or leukaemia or some other form of cancer and I’m going to lose her. I honestly can’t take much more I’m worried sick about her. Can someone please offer any advice or reassurance about their own little ones being like this. she’s asleep on the sofa at the minute.

please be kind I’m feeling rather fragile at the minute.

I feel like this is what my daughter was like 1 year ago and I feel like I had similar feelings you.
We've started to take Sambucol 3 months ago and things are unbelievablely better 🤷🏻‍♀️.
Could you try something like that?

Reading this reminds me of when my son was at primary school and had constant earache and sore throats causing lots of time off school. The doctor referred and the consultant put him on the list for adenoidectomy (tonsils and adenoids out) but we waited and waited..
Eventually the head spoke to me about the absences from school and when I told her he was on a waiting list she gave me a letter saying school was concerned about the absences and that it was affecting his education.
She supplied all the dates and times he had missed attending and my doctor contacted the surgeon again and sent him the letter.
It did the trick
He was offered a cancellation and it was a done deed
No more time off school ever after that.

If its at all reassuring, we have had a terrible time with illnesses in the past few weeks. My toddlers are too young to tell me what's wrong, but between two of them we've had hand foot and mouth, a temperature that lasted a week, upset tummies, an ear infection, and a random rash which as it cane at the same time as a sore throat ended up getting treated with antibiotics as a precaution. As I have two who've suffered similarly and they are still energetic, I'm not worried about an underlying cause, im just worried about whether the rest of winter is going to be like this, I don't know how I'll survive the stress or whether I'll still have a job!

Does the nausea coincide with antibiotics at all? Worth a thought. Various medications can cause nausea.

It's been the same I'm our house! We've passed constant colds/chest infections between us since the end of October.
