I have a much younger sister, she's very tall and a little overweight, but she's lost some weight since going to uni. It's not something I would ever comment on.
Anyway she was recently in the background of a news broadcast as some people were being interviewed.
I showed it to my partner in excitement, saying, "Look, she's on the news!"
Straight away he said, "What's she on for, obesity?"
I was instantly like, what?!
He started saying sorry, sorry I didn't mean that it just came out , I didn't mean it.
I just don't know what to think..

I get very cross about men, who are often not particularly fit themselves, thinking it’s normal and OK to form a judgement on and idly pass negative comments on women’s bodies. I think it’s especially gross and inappropriate when it’s a young family member. Why are they looking, why do they think it’s their place to judge?

You did right to pull him up on it.

No I wouldn't and my partner would never be so fucking rude! Hope he has some redeeming qualities...I personally wouldn't be able 2 forgive him 4 this! Fucking dick!

i really hope he didn't mean it.

He meant it. You'd better not gain any weight.
