Ok...I probably know why....it's cold/cost of living etc....BUT....it just seems everyone is ready for a fight/argument all the time!!!
Example
I just left a busy shop. In the queue behind two women who had a child in a pushchair. There was a decent sized gap between them and the person in front. Where I was standing behind them was akward as I was semi-blocking a staircase so people kept barging past me. I waited a good 3-4mins in the hope they would notice the gap and move forward...they didn't...I politely asked the lady closest to me if she could move forward a little...she told me "yeah 1 minute" and started fumbling in her shopping bags for something...her friend then turned to me and started going on about the fact that if it bothers me that much I can go around them bla bla...I replied that I didn't want it to seem I was pushing in which is why I hadn't done that...she then started going on and on raising her voice...giving pure attitude...I was literally in shock...what on Earth??? I am not a confrontational person and hadn't asked with any aggression/agitation or anything like that. I've definitely had ppl ask me to move up when I've been distracted and not noticed a huge queue gap...I usually apologise and move up. Why the drama??? I am finding that everyone is so quick to get hot tempered these days. It's really unpleasant.
AIBU?
