I work full-time. I am at home trying to work and only putting the heating on for a few hours, but I am fucking freezing. It is bitter outside. So fed up of this already. Fucking Merry Christmas.

We have started putting our dressing gowns over our normal clothes. I highly recommend it.

This!
Last winter I was cold all the time (I WFH and our house is freezing), no matter how many layers of thermals, etc. This year I've been wearing my big fluffy dressing gown on top and I've hardly been cold at all! It makes a massive difference. My hands and nose still get cold, but I've got a pair of cashmere wrist warmers that help a bit with my hands.

Don't get the Oodie thing - why not just wear thermal joggers and a fleece over long sleeved T shirts/thermal vests and fluffy socks? At least you'd look normal 😂.

I feel the cold and have been wearing fleece thermal leggings and tops since mid-Oct. I invested in an Ony (Oodie type hoodie) this week. It’s hiddious but with that on top and a weighted blanket on my legs I have felt the need to boost the heating at all whilst sitting down (which I did all the time last year).I also find a tiny bit of physical exertion whilst wearing the fleece thermals keeps me warms for a long time.

The gas heating is on in my house
kicks in at 16 I think
but I have a oddie a hot water bottle that I love - I’ve always slept with one as I have a bad back

for anyone getting a heated throw if you can afford it the Dreamland Alaskan Husky heated throw is the best one ever
I’ve had mine 2-3 years and it’s still going strong
it’s like having a huge fluffy bear on you 😂

I always wear my dressing gown over normal clothes.
Put a throw over the duvet.
Big comfy socks.
Actually stay in bed as much as I can when at home.
It's not pleasant but preferable to that revolting heat we had for months in London.

I laugh at the Global Warming and Climate Change frenzy. I would have thought our winters would be mild and wet, not this, and it is the same every year.

🤦🏻‍♀️

I take it you don't understand climate science very well. 🤣🤣

I don't work from home. But I'm surprised anyone wanting to stay at home now the temp has dropped and spend £££ in heating when the office will be warmer and you don't have to pay!

It costs me a fiver in fuel and £11 in parking costs to be in the office! Definitely cheaper to be home

Most people don't. Hence the move away from "global warming"....

That's why the term global warming isn't in use really anymore.
It's the two extremes. So for uk a proper summer and proper winter.

Aka seasons lol
