This is a small issue. Ordered something from Etsy on 23rd Nov for my nephews birthday (his bday is tomorrow). They stated orders would be dispatched within 2 working days. On the 28th I chased as aware of post strikes. They apologised and said they would ensure it will be sent the next day (29th 4 working days later), which it was. It still hasn't arrived. So looking likely I won't have his present as there is a strike again tomorrow.
I sent another message asking if the item is tracked and they responded that apparently I could have upgraded to tracked postage for a fee. I must have missed the option somehow. Anyway they also said it's all down to postage strikes so not their fault basically.
AIBU to say raise a complaint through Etsy? I agree if I had seen the option I would have upgraded/also they can't help the postage strikes. But they never sent the item within the time frame they said they would. I know I can't say that the item would have arrived by now but I would have had more of a chance.
