Ok so I have NC’d for obvious reasons.

just posting here for opinions on the question I am asking which is does this look fair.
Please I don’t need/want any lectures or opinions on what I have bought, this is not a boast. I personally think what we have bought isn’t OTT. BUT…does it look fair? I like it to look fair
Two dc…one dd(9) and one DS(7)
on the right of the pics is the Santa gifts -dd Has two Squishmallows and a chess set and DS has two Lego sets and Pokémon card set game. The rest is from us (gifts and stockings in one.

there’s two small gifts missing from DS pile (a T-shirt and a book)

they are getting one more “main gift” from us…dd is getting an MP3 player and DS is getting another Lego set (he loves Lego)

so does it look fair, I’m beginning to think It looks like dd has more (she does in numbers by 3/4 items as she has a set of Sports gear for training. And I feel hers are bigger as such…

what would you do to even it up if anything at all eir should I leave it as is? Help…

I think it’s ok. I would
group some of DD’s together so number of wrapped parcels is similar?!

alasangne · 08/12/2022 12:43

Have you spent the same?

imaginationhasfailedme · 08/12/2022 12:43

Are they likely to count up gifts? At that age, my brother and I secretly counted our gifts. Our parents gave us equal number, some of them little things to make up the numbers. We were dicks about it tbh. I don't think we noticed size, things got spread about pretty quickly, never in one big pile so that didn't come in to it

Yes this is what I do if the number of parcels looks a bit uneven

DillyDallyPop · 08/12/2022 12:48

It looks close enough to fair. Of you are worried about them looking the same, just carefully place them once wrapped so the pile with slightly less is spread out a bit more x

Helpmesortit · 08/12/2022 12:52

@Gizlotsmum thank you! Yes I’m going to put her training gear altogether so that’s counted as 1.

@imaginationhasfailedme i don’t know if they will count gifts…it wouldn’t surprise me though 😆 they are kids after all.

@alasangne I have no idea what I have spent 😬 Similar amounts at a guess I think? 🙈

@DillyDallyPop thank you, I could just get DS a couple more small things but I find him so hard to buy for, I’m struggling as he doesn’t need any more colours or clothing etc 😩

I dont think you need to get any more, you've done great with what you have x

Itsabitnotcold · 08/12/2022 13:04

I think with hers being bigger it looks like she has more but if he has two more aswell then I think it's fair. They've both got plenty to keep them busy

Helpmesortit · 08/12/2022 13:08

@DillyDallyPop thank you so much 😊

@Itsabitnotcold they do don’t they, they are very lucky. Thank you!

It looks fair . It's the squishmallows making DD's look more

Helpmesortit · 08/12/2022 13:27

Thank you @hattie43 yes I think it’s because a lot of DD’s are physically bigger

So I added it all up and it Turns out I have spent nearly double on DD so I’ll remedy that and get a few more bits for DS 🙈
