I was prescribed antibiotics at the weekend by the walk in clinic for tonsillitis (white spots on tonsils and a fever/body aches and chills).
I’ve never had this type of antibiotic before (it’s penicillin V) anyway I’ve had a bad stomach reaction to it, very bad cramps and keep running to the loo, bad nausea and my skin feels slightly prickly. No rash.

I called the doctor and they’ve prescribed amoxicillin instead, as I’ve had that lots of times and no problems.

What he didn’t tell me and what a failed to ask was do I just stop the others and take these straight away? Or do I leave a gap of 24 hours to let the others get out of my system?

If anyone knows that would be great.

I guess I could ask the pharmacist when I go to collect the prescription.

I'd guess you just stop the first and take the second.
Best asking the pharmacist like you say though.
Get well soon Flowers

Thanks yes I’ll ask, I was just worried about interactions if I take it straight away. Thought maybe leave it for 24 hours.
