Barbie Dreamhouse - scam?

So it costs £300 which is insane and I've seen a second hand one on FB Marketplace for less than £100, like new, still in box. Can't pick up but they're offering postage.

My question is aibu to trust her to send it?????

Same as you can trust anyone else to send it

luxxlisbon · 04/12/2022 12:01

I probably wouldn’t pay £100 for something on Facebook marketplace without being able to see and pick it up myself first.

Why would they be selling it new in the box for 1/3 of the price?

Usually if it sounds too good to be true it is.

SpinningFloppa · 04/12/2022 12:03

It’s £148 in Argos….

Namechanger965 · 04/12/2022 12:04

This close to Christmas is be wary it’s a scam. I would ask to collect instead and if they say no then I wouldn’t buy it.

SwedishEdith · 04/12/2022 12:11

There was a poster on here last week whose husband had bought an earlier model, not the one their daughter had asked for. So she was thinking about selling and getting the latest model. So it could be genuine. I still wouldn't take the chance though.

Thanks all, yes I reckon too good to be true. And thanks for the Asda tip 👍

Congratulations for posting the most unhelpful comment possible six weeks after it was relevant. 🍾

I have many questions, mainly about your parenting advice.

polopolopolopoo · 30/01/2023 21:27

It sounds like you're not a mother yet, I'm which case I assure you things will change if you ever become one. If you already have children, I feel sorry for them.

CoorieInByTheFire · 30/01/2023 21:29

Oh boy just wait until your 3 month old grows up a bit, take it from me, you’ll be begging for a nice easy list.

SliceOfCakeCupOfTea · 30/01/2023 21:33

Yes I too have never heard of the Barbie brand before.

My child has three wooden blocks to play with and sheets of newspaper. He once had 4 blocks but I removed one because he asked for more.

@SliceOfCakeCupOfTea 😂

I thought this was going to be yet another sex offender pretending to be a lay-dee.

Have fun when they’re teenagers.

plumduck · 30/01/2023 21:46

you can don’t agree with my parenting style to protect kids from aggressive advertising, it’s up to you :)

Ok thanks :)

What do you have against full stops?

She is saving them for something important and doesn't want to spoil us.
