Hi everyone

I need some tips please to help me and my daughter

ok so bit of back story

my daughter is 11 and my son is 3, he is a very difficult and demanding boy so he does take an awful lot of my attention. He also hates his dad doing anything for him so 99% of the time I have to do things. Even silly things like he will ask for an apple and flatly refuses it and throws it away if his dad brings him it and says “no mammy has to do it” so to stop all hell kicking off I then go and get the said apple. My poor daughter barely gets a look in for my attention.

so back to my daughter, she is soooo messy and dirty it really is disgusting, Luke this morning I went to her bed to give her a kiss to wake her up and I put my hand in a bowl of spaghetti hoops!! In her bed!!! She knows she isn’t allowed food upstairs but decided last night to go and make herself a bowl and fell asleep with them!! In her bed!!!! Luckily the bowl hadn’t tipped over! So I asked her had she fallen asleep eating them and she said no, she just forgot to put them on the side!!!

everything with her is “I forgot”

Honestly it’s just all these things constantly, I just seem to constantly be having a go about everything.

so this was this morning. Fast forward to tonight I go in her room, she has destroyed some of my make up just literally been cutting away at a lipstick (quite expensive 1) with scissors and also taken 1 of my candles (not lit) and been chipping away at it with the scissors

so I have just flipped my lid yet again second time today she has had an absolute bollocking! I’m so upset, she is so upset. I feel absolutely awful and I am now sat in my room crying. I overheard her about a week ago telling someone that she thinks my son is my favourite which is not the case. I love my daughter and my son equally, I just can’t take all this.

she is trying so hard at school yet she is so lazy and just has absolute zero respect for anything we buy her like clothes or shoes

she went to the park the other day with friends and came back with 1 shoe on, apparently the other 1 she threw in a bush and couldn’t get it out, I went to try and get it out and there was no chance of climbing in as it was too dense and I couldn’t even see it

please help me and my daughter I’m willing to try and change if she is

aibu is every child like this as most of the kids I know at this age certainly arnt

thank you for reading xx
