DH farted on my meal

AIBU not to want to finish a meal that DH farted on?

Context: I had eaten maybe half my food, DH had finished the record time as usual - positions his arse next to my plate - with his arse touching the table - and farts.

He thinks I'm overreacting that I called him an animal and didn't eat the remainder of my food.

The people who think this is OK (what the OP's husband did) are the same type who don't clean their teeth, who only shower once a week, who keep the same pair of underpants on for a week, and who pick their nose and eat what they pull out.

Probably have rank breath, and armpits that smell like gorgonzola, and an arse like a compost heap. Only people who fit THAT description would think the OP's husband's repugnant act is 'funny' and the naysayers just need to 'chill...'

I honestly couldn't imagine living with someone like this. And I certainly couldn't imagine wanting to have sex with him or kiss him ever again.

There surely must be other issues in your relationship if he thinks this is ok? Like he must be thick stupid or profoundly immature or plain nasty?

OP, I am so sorry.

It never fails to amaze me on here the lives other poor women lead.

I would be utterly mortified to find that was what I had ended up with in a partner......someone with zero self respect as to behave in such an utterly vulgar manner.

That you are minding him after surgery makes his appalling disrespect of you even worse.

Send him home to his mother and tell her what she has dragged up.

Good luck with trying to look at him going forward with anything other than profound distaste.

You deserve better.

I’m glad you’ve told him to go to his mum. He can explain to her what he did as to why he has to go to her and get a bollocking from her too!

I sent my partner home after he threw an empty packet of food on my floor, he was asking me what was he supposed to do? “Put it in the bin, duh!”

I would never dare go to any one’s home and throw anything on the floor but because we together he can take liberties… I think not!

If my DH demonstrated a total and utter lack respect for me (along with the mentality and sense of humour of a particularly gross 8 year old boy) then yes, I'd divorce him.

Would he shimmy over and fart over his boss' dinner? I suspect not.

Good on you OP for packing the dirty pig off to his Mother. If you're off tomorrow have a wonderful relaxing day to yourself.

Is this part of a bigger th problem.you already started the fighting line so I wonder?
Is this in any way how you usually interact with each other ( All couple are different on burping and farting iv e found!)
The fact your unable to let it go to me shows ther something deeper.
If usually a th is a complete rest and says sorry the couple move on.especially over a fart.
