Royal mail question...

Ok so posting here for traffic. Royal mail obviously on strike as we all know. Out walking the dog this morning and there's my usual postie in a rented van (popular van rental company) in his normal clothes delivering parcels (Royal mail ones).

I imagine this means he's chosen not to strike, are the rental van and civvies because he's not allowed to be in Royal mail kit during a strike? Excuse my ignorance, I'm not very clued up on strike ins and outs. I'm wanting to believe my lovely postman is helping save christmas 😄

Be kind, I'm on a few hours sleep with a cranky baby and wanting to see the positives here....

Ooh good question, but last Friday I had royal mail deliver in a RM van and postie in uniform.....I think it was Friday, a day they were on strike anyway!

Different parts of the company are on strike at different times so posties will be working when processing are on strike and vice Versa!

No they can wear uniform and use Royal Mail vans, it’s probably that he doesn’t want colleagues to find out he’s working so trying to keep a low profile
