lol, yes I am full of a cold and at work, feel pretty dreadful and just wanna go to my bed. Snow this weekend too they reckon

expatinscotland · 31/01/2008 17:35

i just made some delicious chocolate brownies and i want to eat them, but i have to wait till after tea because then the girls will want some.

back in the day, i'd have just eaten them for tea.

chocolatemummy · 31/01/2008 17:38

lol, yes we have set a good example when we just wanna stuff our faces with all the things we tell them they cannot eat!

squilly · 31/01/2008 19:01

I'd love to sit & eat chocolat brownies all pm...it'd be good fuel b4 hibernating....but I'd be in equally big trouble with my dd.

And I'm convinced that I'm part dormouse, which is bound to lead to feelings of sleep deprivation!!

Roll on the snow, so school can close down and we can go sledging, then drink hot choc, then snuggle up in our warm nests!!!

Mercy · 31/01/2008 19:04

Not at all.

It's going to be bitterly cold for the next three or 4 days apparently - and that's only in the SE. Dread to think how cold it's going to be for you expat.

WinkyWinkola · 31/01/2008 19:04

But it's still light until 5pm! I'm so pleased. When do the clocks go forward?

Mercy · 31/01/2008 19:07

Which reminds me, our local shop has got some mini flakes in atm so I'm going to stock up tomorrow Wish we had a roaring fire which we could drink the hot choc beside - and make toast, and marshmallows etc.

seb1 · 31/01/2008 19:08

The temp here was 3 deg C, but apparently with wind chill was like -4 deg C

of course, DD1 has a paed appointment at stupid o'clock tomorrow morning, when the weather's supposed to be at its worst.

gale is not too bad, not as bad as it was last night.

PersephoneSnape · 31/01/2008 19:57

i LOVE this weather! i can wrap up and pretend to be cathy out on the moors!

ut io don't like worrying about the roof tiles, my bins blowing over or granny and granpa cancelling having the dcs for the weekend as it's too 'dangerous' to travel across country to pick them up.

(near Glasgow too - bring the snow!)

PersephoneSnape · 31/01/2008 19:58

eurgh typos, But I don't like...

LIZS · 31/01/2008 20:05
