Constant sickness

I need some reassurance. Is it normal for a 3-year-old in preschool to get ill once - sometimes even twice - a month. This is the second time he’s had sickness and temperature this month, as well as a cold. He picks up everything!

Yep, average 12 colds a year at that age or something similar. Some will get more, others less. More if they're around other children as they catch them.

I Feel your pain. My 3 year old was off last week vomiting and is now off this week as her temp was 40 last night. She fell asleep at 5pm, temp never went down all night. She woke up at 3.45 full of chat, hungry and is now perfectly fine.
She's had an on and off runny nose since she started in September. Loads of germs doing the rounds that they are only building immunity up to now.
Hope your little one is feeling better soon FlowersFlowers

Thank you. He’s such a fussy eater as well I worry he’s malnourished and it’s why he’s getting ill.

Yep. My doctor last year told me to give my kids calpol every 10 days whether they looked like they needed it or not. Something about the cycles of illness in under 4s and prevention being better than cure. I don't know how true it is but I am getting through it at an alarming rate (2 x under 4yo) with all the germs going around at the minute.

My daughter is starting to grow out of it now thank god and is only getting colds sometimes. My son is a snot machine constantly.
