Don’t like my microblading

Belle91 · 29/11/2022 08:13

I had microblading done last week and I really am not sure/don’t like it.

I know this is entirely my fault, I should have gone in with lots of pictures.

I asked for a soft arch, but instead I have a kind of straight eyebrow with an almost un noticeable arch.

Its my first time to this and I don’t quite know what to do?

Has anyone been in a similar situation, was your artist able to fix the issue or did you need tattoo removal? 🙁

I’m sure this style does suit a lot of face shapes, for mine it gives a very stern look, and I really didn’t want that 😔

I think we need a pic. You might get used to it and it's probably not as awful as you think. I had mine done a few years back and it's a shock at first as you've changed your appearance. I love them now.

TwoShades1 · 29/11/2022 08:21

I think maybe if you didn’t show them how you wanted them with pictures or penciling in your own brows to the shape you wanted, they probably just went with what they felt suited you. This of course may not be what you personally wanted. It’s probably worth going back (with some photos) and asking if they can adjust them a bit

PeanuttyButter · 29/11/2022 08:36

It won't last forever.
I know if Im not careful my microblading will fade more than typically expected.
Sweating, some facial scrubs and masks may make it fade quicker if you like. However it usually takes a few weeks for me to get used to it again after a top up

pocketvenuss · 29/11/2022 08:37

Can you post a picture? Just of the brows if you don't want to reveal your face. It would help us see what you are talking about.

SuperheroBirds · 29/11/2022 08:38

Don’t forget, for the first few days/week the colour is really strong. After I had mine done for the first time, I was panicking but they soon settle down. As for the shape, we did change mine slightly when I went for a top up, so there should be something they can do.

SD1978 · 29/11/2022 08:40

A pictur really is the I'm,y way to be able to comment. It may just be because it's new, as opposed to it's as straight as you think? When is your touch up aPpt? Can you contact her in advance with your concerns?

Backtothegymgirl · 29/11/2022 08:42

It’s micro blading, just pick the scab off and don’t go back for the second appt. It will disappear very quickly

Belle91 · 29/11/2022 10:53

This is how they look.

She’s very good and such a lovely person but I was just hoping for a different shape.

Does anyone think these images might be possible even with how my eyebrows look now?

@HandbagsnGladrags & @SD1978
what do you think of the pictures? I would love your advice?

I never realised it could come off so easily?

Your eyebrows are very like the ones you want. Maybe just slightly thicker.

Thank goodness.
I will contact her. Strangely I much prefer the darker colour it’s gone to, the first colour was too light 😊

Blimey. I hate microblading with a passion, but yours look superb. You have good eyebrows, naturally, as a base though. But because yours are naturally quite flat, expecting much of an arch would be hard. And probably wouldn't look right?

underneaththeash · 29/11/2022 11:02

Just use an eyebrow pencil next time!

Trustmeimadoctor · 29/11/2022 11:03

They look really good!

ChessieDarling · 29/11/2022 11:04

Your eyebrows look great!! Don’t go picking at them ( 😱) and let it settle properly.

SendHelp999 · 29/11/2022 11:08

I really really love them and love the shape!! Maybe it's not because it's what you're used to but I really love them on you

reallyjustwantgin · 29/11/2022 11:48

When I got my microblading done it was a huge shock. They just seemed to big and overdone. However, once I'd had my top up and let them settle I loved them!

I was told by the woman who done them that they follow and enhance your natural shape. So, its wasn't a case of me wanting a certain look, it was about using the most of what I naturally have. I'd recommend speaking to her at your top up!

Belle91 · 29/11/2022 11:48

Sorry, I have to ask, are you all looking at my eyebrows or the screenshots I have taken of the models. 😊
My pictures are only eyebrows.

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 29/11/2022 11:58

I really think it's a case of you getting used to them. They look great.

And yes, we can all tell which photos are the models and which photos are yours.

Elnetthairnet · 29/11/2022 12:01

Your eyebrows look fantastic - very natural - if I didn’t know I wouldn’t guess they were microbladed - and I think they are a soft arch. They’ve done a brilliant job!

pocketvenuss · 29/11/2022 14:46

They can only deviate a little beyond the natural shape of your brows. Your brows are very straight. They have increased the arch by bringing them down and thicker in the centre. They can't go in a completely different shape as your own brow hairs need to be part of the new brow. The examples you have shown are of models with much more arch in their natural brow.

KILM · 29/11/2022 14:48

Ooooh they look great - a lot of microblading done in our area looks really unnatural so its always put me off but yours look great! Absolutely not harsh at all, i think its just that they are different to what you are used to
