How to deal with manager

I’ve been in a new job for a month now and I’m struggling to get on with my manager. The main issue is that she keeps telling me how quiet I am. I don’t think I am particularly (although what’s wrong with being quiet anyway). She has said a few times now ‘you are so quiet’ and ‘I only like talkative people’.

The other day she was having a conversation with a colleague by my desk and she was saying something while looking at me- I nodded at something she eat saying and she said ‘don’t just nod, say something’ quite aggressively. I don’t know whether to ignore/avoid her as much as possible or to say something. Any advice?

Ignore her, she doesn't get a say on your personality. I can't bear people who talk incessantly. We are all different

WTAF. That's so unprofessional. I'd start keeping a note of these remarks. As a Manager the onus is on us to adapt and change how we interact with our staff based on their personalities. Not to tell them to adjust their personality to fit us.
