This year seems harder. We’re managing, but I see so many others aren’t. Just a wander round Tescos makes my heart sink as the prices on some stuff seems double. Here’s a couple of things I’ve done to try to help others this year, is there other simple stuff I’m missing?
given a charity donation instead of Xmas cards (to a children’s ward who looked after my son)
asked a couple of family we exchange gifts with to just do kids this year if they prefer - thought I’d offer so they didn’t have to, both gladly agreed (would have been fine if didn’t)
helped with some school hampers (school arrange discreetly to those who ask for a little Christmas help) in our small village school alone 15 family have come foreward :( My contribution to the hampers was gravy! So the checkout boy thinks I have a gravy addiction with my 15 tubs of Bisto now!
am I missing something else I can be doing?
