To be peed off at work

got Asked to apply for a job by a senior manager - which I did
but it seems everyone else has an invitation for the interview and I don’t.
a year ago I applied for the same role and never received a response until I withdrew. A month later they reposted the job and interviewed immediately!
i work hard I get jobs and interviews elsewhere I don’t get it. Should I just look to move elsewhere permanently and not try here?

Ask for feedback- my guess is a poor application

Have you asked for some mentoring on applying? Where I work applications are quite complicated and it's not unusual to be coached through the process.

As an internal candidate you have everything right to ask for and receive feedback on why you didn't progress further.

yeah my manager helped my personal statement
my cv and personal statements seem to work fine every where else

Even in other departments iv been offered interviews

I’d ask the manager who asked you to apply for some feedback on why you didn’t get an interview.

If you feel your face doesn't fit, for whatever reason, it is time to apply elsewhere and move onto somewhere you will be more valued.

Ask the person who asked you to apply....but have they just gone and asked everyone to apply?
