It's silly but I feel guilty

Hi all,

I feel guilty about not cuddling my daughter enough even though she doesn't want to.

She's a month old today actually, she was 3.5 weeks early and absolutely fine but she's happy just to sleep in her bed so we change her, feed her, give her a cuddle but she gets restless and I think annoyed (can babies get annoyed?) so I pop her in her bed and she sleeps for 3-5 hours or so until her next feed.

My son was the complete opposite, he was well into the fourth trimester, wanted holding all the time, cried blue murder anytime you put him down and didn't sleep for more than two hours.

Can babies be different like this? Like my daughter won't feel rejected or anything? I give her cuddles for as long as she'll tolerate it but she'd much rather be in her bed.

Sorry for the silly question I had quite bad PND last time so trying to do everything right this time

I'm sure shes perfectly happy, babies have such a range of personalities and preferences Smile
You're a wonderful mum doing a great job!

Absolutely do not feel guilty no 2 babies are the same.. if she’s content that’s all that matters.. my daughter is almost 4 months old and she was just a sleepy baby much preferred her bed.. she is a lot more cuddley now though xx
