It is true though that, I'm going to say 90% of people can't cook.

I don't use jars. Don't do anything fancy but I can make decent home cooking type stuff. Beef stew, cottage pie, omelettes, chicken dishes

I'm on a page where the majority are American. I've formed the solid opinion that Americans eat like children. Food pics posted as "eating healthy this week" are drowning in cheese, dressings, fried foods. Otherwise it's a plate of unappealing muck. So I do get my where you're coming from OP.

My pet peeve is shoes. Fugly shoes should be banished to the furthest corners and wearers sent home to put on something decent.

I’ve seen too many thanksgiving side dishes on my social media this week to have any faith in humanity. I see your soggy courgettes OP and raise you a sweet potato pie topped with mini marshmallows.

To say you’ve eaten most peoples food just isn’t true now is it. You’ve never eaten my food, have you? If you were to taste something I’d cooked I have a feeling you’d change your view. Just as an example, most nights I get a couple of courgettes, a punnet of mushrooms and mix it with a shop bought packet sauce. Ninety minutes in the microwave later and you’re presented with what can only be described a ‘Mushy Horror’. I don’t usually share my recipes with members of the public but on this occasion I’ve chosen to make an exception. Thank me later

I think I'm half decent, but it probably falls into the boring category, like bolognaise/risotto/pasta. Wish I had the confidence to try more exotic dishes, but I will look at recipes, tot up the ingredients and think its a bloody expensive experiment if it tastes shit or I mess it up. I tend to stick to what I know everyone will eat!

Only boring people get bored dearie. Never mind, I'm sure you'll make it to 'Classics' one day.

My food doesn't get terribly exciting. Thank goodness there's only me eating it and I don't have to reach the OP's high standards. After my broccoli with cheese and jacket potato I had (horror) tinned rice pudding tonight.

Cooking and food is often all relative imo, tastes and palates vary and can be linked to upbringing, cultural background, and just how much you’re interested in food and what your individual opinions are. There are most likely some people out there who love OP’s cooking and others who think it’s appetising as catsick. All part of the rich tapestry of life, eh?
