80’s pop star - help me remember

I was trying to describe an 80s pop star to DH and I have completely blanked on his name - here’s what I remember
v v v cute but v big mullet - one hit wonder as far as I remember- I think the video for the song was on the beach and he may have played ( or pretended to play ) the guitar in the video - prob mid eighties(?) - it’s a long shot I know but hit me your ideas as I have been searching t’internet and cannot find him -it’s driving me bananas!

Did anyone else see the fuck up This Morning when the playback started but he was just stood there waiting for filming to start? This was obviously back in the Richard and Judy days. I am sure it was him but I cant seem to find the clip anywhere!
