compromise with DH about the heating

DH doesn't want to put the heating on and the house is freezing. He says gas costs too much money now due to "the torys" or whatever

Is it worth putting it on for a few hours in the evening only or is it not efficient?

Exactly! What is the point of these threads? And why are they on AIBU?

We are trying to minimise it obviously because of the cost, but we are currently putting it on for an hour in the morning & an hour in the evening. It's still fcking freezing.

I was surprised too! I am so surprised I am checking again tomorrow and next week 🤣

😱 Nope it’s not £5 it’s 12.50 a day!!!!!!!!

I am starting experimenting. Have turned the flow temperature down to 60c and hopefully the condenser will recycle more. I think the main issue is we are running two boilers and ones old, knackered, pumping out 24/7 on 2 bars and is currently leaking. Obviously not working efficiently at all!!! Plumber can’t come to switch it over until Jan. Might have to abandon that side of the house. Will keep you updated.
