Party Invites year 5

Is it ok to invite half the girls in the class? So 8 would be invited, 8 wouldn't? The girls that wouldn't come are people she either doesn't get on with and has had issues with or doesn't talk to/play with. DH thinks we should invite them all regardless. I think it's fine to only invite people you want to your own party (obviously if only 2 girls were being left out or something then I know that's not cool) I have asked her and she wouldn't be bothered if she in turn got left out of these girls parties, as she doesn't get on with them or hang out with them anyway. what's the general consensus?

Fine

MRSDoos · 25/11/2022 16:35

Absolutely fine not inviting half of them

Invite who you want
8 girls sp a party if 8-10 is perfect

Full class parties are only really done in infants school fit first couple of years and tbh they're daft- always pupils within the class that don't get on

Why ruin her birthday by inviting pupils she doesn't even like? Invite her small group of friends!

Yes this is fine.

Sounds OK to me. (As you say leaving out 1 or 2 not on. Leaving out 8 - OK.)

It’s fine! It’s half the girls so an equal half - and the boys - not invited. So doesn’t mean anyone is left out.

Also they’re yr 5, not 5 years old. They’re old enough to know you don’t get invited to everything

Thanks all!

At this age it's totally fine to just ask their friends. 8 is still a decent number
