Anyone know what happened to the thread about the poster who was going to share her emperor sized bed with her kids to keep warm tonight? How did that break the rules? 🙄

Evening, all. Apologies - we hit the button to just delete asap but it was the work of a returning troll who's been something of a pain these last few weeks. We've updated the deletion messages now to let everyone know it was a troll. Thanks for flagging it here.

Personally I think if a thread is a troll but has useful information, would it be better kept up but comments closed, as I've seen on some zombie threads. @HebeMumsnet

The deleted thread in question didn't really have useful information. I think people twigged pretty early on that it was a troll and were just waiting for the deletion message.

I think there's possibly another one up by the same troll about how much per day their electricity is costing them, but there is some useful info on it.

The one about salary was zapped yesterday as well. I don't see the point of threads like that anyway.
