Should I be able to cancel this course?

I was going to do an online nvq, and found a provider which would allow me to make online monthly payments.
I paid, received my logins and logged on to have a look at it. I've seen another online course for much cheaper and would like to do this one instead.
I've sent a cancellation form and I am within the 14 day cooling off period.
The terms and conditions say you can cancel within 14 days as long as services haven't been accessed. It's just online material which they send out generically, I'm a bit worried they'll refuse to cancel it for simply having logged in which is ridiculous.

I haven't completed any tasks or submitted any work, just logged on and had a quick look. Anyone else had any issues like this?

They might allow you to cancel, but as you’ve technically accessed the materials, they almost certainly aren’t obliged to.

That sucks :( my fault though

Contractually they don't have to but if you contact them and explain they might offer you a reduced rate as a goodwill gesture.

I guess their concern is that once you have accessed the materials, you may have downloaded or saved their work and then ask for a refund.
Good luck though

Thanks, yeah that's fair enough I guess.
I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Tbh the much cheaper one I've found is a CPD certification level 3, it's actually to work as a Senior Care Assistant so may not even be accepted?

They are not contractually obliged too once you’ve logged in and accessed it as as far as they know, you could’ve accessed it and copied/downloaded everything which obviously means they would be massively losing out. It’s annoying but fair

Yeah it makes sense now.. I'll have to pray for a good outcome. If they refuse I may as well just do it
